Spicy Cilantro sauce

This sauce is a staple on my table, and can be used on everything from rice, steak or even eggs. It just adds a whole lot of flavor to anything you make...if you're not into spicy try it without the jalapeno peppers.

Spicy Cilantro Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cilantro (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup red onions (chopped)
  • 3 jalapeno peppers, (food processor)(seeded or unseeded, depending on how hot you like it)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 3 garlic clove
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
Preparation:  I use my trustee Pilon to chop my cilantro and garlic, for those of you who don't know what that is, it's a mortar and pestle....there is supposed to be an accent above the "o "but I don't know how to add the accent on my computer, sorry. In any event,  I don't like to add all of the ingredients in the food processor but you definitely can if you wanted to.  I chop everything up individually. The only thing I put in the food processor is the jalapeno peppers. Mix everything together and you will make 2 cups of sauce.
